Does Biltmore have horses?

Are there secret rooms in the Biltmore?
The enormous 250-room Vanderbilt mansion conceals hidden doors and secret passageways. With 35 bedrooms, 43 bathrooms, 65 fireplaces, and nearly 180,000 square feet, the enormous Biltmore Estate has plenty of places to hide. You can just make out the door frame behind the two Renoir paintings that hang on the wall.
Can you camp at Biltmore Estate?

Can you walk around the Biltmore for free?
While admission to Biltmore Estate isn’t free, you can tour the Biltmore Village galleries free of charge. Highlights include the church the Vanderbilt’s attended as well as more than 40 shops and 10 cafes and restaurants.
Can I buy Biltmore tickets at the gate?
Tickets are available to purchase in person at the Reception and Ticketing Sales Center, however we do recommend buying your tickets in advance either online or over the phone. Certain tickets are discounted if purchased in advance, and many of our tours and activities are subject to availability.
How long does the Biltmore tour take?
It typically takes guests between six and eight hours to fully enjoy all of that their ticket includes (it usually takes between 90 minutes and two hours to complete the self-guided visit of Biltmore House itself).
Can you take pictures inside Biltmore House?
Taking photographs by cell phone or cameras, without flash, is permitted on the self-guided tour for personal use only. No commercial photography is allowed. Photography is not permitted on specialty tours inside Biltmore House.
Were there slaves at the Biltmore House?
In at least one case, an entire community was relocated to accommodate Vanderbilt’s plans. The old Shiloh neighborhood included approximately a dozen former slaves. It included several homes dotted along what once was the land of their former owner, a church, and a cemetery.

How can I get in the Biltmore for free?
Nothing is free at the Biltmore now. You need a ticket to go anywhere on the estate grounds, and they most definitely check when you drive in. You can walk around the Biltmore Village area outside of the estate. Cute historic area with shops and restaurants.
What is the best time to visit Biltmore?
As far as which time slot to choose, I recommend picking either early morning or after lunchtime. For example, the admission gates open at 9:30 A.M and time slots for entrance to the home begin at 10 A.M. For reference, Biltmore typically sees the largest crowds between 11 A.M.-1 P.M.
Is the Biltmore tour worth the money?
While the price of admission is steep, it’s worth it. The mansion is beautiful, as are the grounds. You can spend a whole day. I would recommend the audio tour, which gives you the back story on the Vanderbilts.
